Extended Day Program
The Saint Mary’s Academy Extended Day Program is a service provided for the care and safety of students enrolled in the Academy. This service provides care on school days before school from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and after school from 2:40 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The program is staffed by Saint Mary’s teachers, with help from assistants during the afternoon hours. Your child(ren) are cared for in a safe, wholesome, well-supervised environment. The afternoon hours begin with completion and review of homework lessons followed by playtime.
This very flexible program allows parents to drop off their enrolled children early, or pick them up later after school hours. There are no pre-registration requirements or pre-payment requirements – you are only billed for the time you use.
2009/2010 Fees and payment terms:
· Hourly fee – $5.00 per child.
· Minimum charge – $2.50 (1/2 hour).
· Billing increments – rounded to the next ½ hour or $2.50.
· Late payment fee – $15 for any amounts outstanding at the issuance of the following month’s invoice. A statement will be issued noting the past due amount and the late fee.
· Late pickup fee – Please pick up your children no later than 5:30 p.m. There is a $10 charge for each occurrence of pickup after 5:30 p.m.
· Billing – Invoices for actual usage are mailed monthly before the 10th of the following month.
· Payment terms – Charges are due and payable on receipt of the invoice, and no later than the first of the month following receipt of the invoice. PLEASE MAKE TIMELY PAYMENTS.
· Payment types – Checks, by mail or in person at the Academy office or Finance office. Cash, in person, only at the Finance office, please do not mail cash. Make your check payable to Saint Mary’s Academy. Mail to Finance Office, 519 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106, or drop checks off at Academy office. Cash payments will only be accepted at the Finance office in the Parish rectory building (brick residence, straight across parking lot from school main entrance).
ATTENTION: PARENTS OF 6th, 7th and 8th GRADE STUDENTS -
Your children are welcome to stay after school in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade homerooms at no charge on the days that the teachers are available to stay late. On days when they are not, your children will be directed to the Extended Day Program, and you will be billed for the time they are there.
