Dear parents:

 

Recently, a number of students have remained after school with the intention of moving to the gym for basketball practice at 5:30. Please understand, that while we truly enjoy our time with our students, there are days that we do look forward to leaving the school when the last few students have been picked up, so that we can see to personal errands. There have also been situations in which coaches have been as late as 5:45, or have not been able to open the door for the lack of a school key. We generally do not allow anyone into the building after 5:30. The three of us take our responsibility of our students seriously. We will not leave the school until our children are in the care of their parent or guardian. If a student needs to remain at school for practice due to transportation issues, please contact the junior high teachers to make sure that one of us can potentially remain beyond 5:30. We will be glad to plan for those occasions if at all possible. Thank you for your understanding.
