It is all for a good reason, to support the students and staff of St. Mary's Academy. We will have many Silent Auction items, Live Auction items and Raffle baskets/items to bid/buy.

VIRTUAL Open House Sunday, January 25th 1pm to 3pm

Due to the impending storm, we will hold our Open House Virtually on

Sunday, January 25th from 1pm to 3pm.

Please follow the attachments below to "tour" our school virtually and take a look at the informational packet you would have received if in-person BEFORE submitting an application. Once you submit an application your child's reservation will be held in the order of 1st come 1st serve until all applications are reviewed. Once applications are reviewed our Development Coordinator will reach out to you for a brief phone call before we continue the admissions process. If you have any questions during the Virtual Open House, please do not hesitate to reach out to academy@stmaryslongmeadow.org this email will be monitored closely during the Virtual Open House.

Congratulations to Advent Calendar Winners!

From December 1st to December 25th an Advent Calendar Raffle winner will be drawn. The winning ticket is pulled each day at Morning Prayer. Weekend and holiday tickets will be drawn on the Friday before. Winners will be notified by phone and the check mailed to their address.

This year there are 2 days that will have 2 winners drawn on those days! An exciting addition to this calendar! December 15th there will be 2 winners of $150 each and on Christmas Eve 2 lucky people will each win $500!

This page will be updated 1x weekly with winner's names from that week.

Winners will have already been notified the day that their name was pulled.

We would like to send out a BIG Thank You to Carrie and Drew Michael along with Dave DiRico's Golf for hosting the annual St. Mary's Academy Golf Tournament on Monday October 6th.

It could not have been a more beautiful day to golf! Golfers enjoyed a fun filled day at

Twin Hills CC - 18 holes of golf, lunch, prizes and wrapped up the day with a

delicious dinner and silent auction.

We would also like to thank the many sponsors, donors and those that played in this event.

St. Mary’s Academy Receives Grant for Safety Updates to Campus

We are happy to announce that Saint Mary’s Academy was awarded a grant for $149,220.00 to be used for security updates to our campus. Our school is one of 67 nonprofits in Massachusetts that received funds from the Healey-Driscoll Administration as part of the Nonprofit Security Grant Program. These funds are truly a blessing!

In 2023, we completed a security audit of campus that has helped to guide our next steps. Some of the planned updates include:

• Adding automatic gates to two vehicle entrances to the campus to help control access

• Adding security cameras to the interior and exterior of the property

• Installing a video intercom system to allow the office a visual of those requesting access to the academy

• Beginning to replace the current windows with bullet-resistant glass

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program is funded annually by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and administered in Massachusetts by the Office of Grants and Research (OGR). The program provides funding to implement critical security enhancements at nonprofit organizations.

“These faith-based and community nonprofits play such a critical role in our communities,” said Governor Maura Healey. “And we are proud to deliver this funding that will help them implement security measures to keep their residents safe and ensure peace of mind.”

I hope to share additional updates on our progress throughout the two-year duration of the grant.

Junior High News

Up-coming opportunities for Junior High students:

Thanks to all the students who volunteered for the Stations of the Cross Shadow performance. The audience was quite captivated by the shadows and many found the performance quite moving. Your tireless commitment to perfection is amazing!

All students interested in taking part in the Spring Play, Pagemaster , should print the permission slip and the mandatory rehearsal schedule linked below. The permission slip and the $15 (which pays for suppers during 7:30 rehearsals) are due at the time of auditions, January 7 .
